Position: Customer Service AdjusterLocation: Various LocationsEmployment Type: Permanent Full Time We have exciting opportunities for motivated individuals to join the Claims Contact Centre as Customer Service Adjusters! In this essential role, you will be the first contact for customers reporting a claim to ICBC. Your experience and knowledge of the practices associated with adjusting claims will be required as you confirm coverage and assess liability. Responsibilities include initiating the claim file, collecting first notice of loss information, and adjusting the more straight-forward claims that can be resolved at first contact or redirecting the claim to the appropriate area. Position Requirements The successful candidate will have exceptional customer service skills including a strong ability to work with customers in emotionally heightened situations. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, as well as being able to thrive in a fast-paced call centre environment are essential. Your experience is supported by a diploma and/or certificate in a related field and professional designation in progress (i.e. CIP, CRM, and Insurance & Risk Management). We will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Act and Insurance (Motor Vehicle) Act and call centre experience are assets. Hours of Operation: Twenty-four (24) hours per day, Sunday to Saturday. Part time base hours are up to 28 hours a week. However, in the future these hours may change due to operational needs. Shifts will be scheduled within these hours of operation. This role is a Bargaining Unit position. The salary is a firm hourly rate of $27.68.
