Ryker - Labradoodle Dog

Shelter: BC SPCA - Quesnel & District Animal ID: 483161 Birthdate: July 16, 2018 - Young Adult Spayed/Neutered: Yes Male Ryker is a beautiful young lad who has a lot of potential. Ryker is still quite new to us, so we are getting to know him, but here is what we know so far: Ryker loves other dogs - he would benefit from another social dog friend who he can play with and burn his energy. A dog who is social with people would be a great match as Ryker tends to be nervous of strangers, so hopefully a social dog will help him gain confidence. He is also good with cats! Ryker is nervous of strangers - he will require an experienced guardian who can provide slow, positive introductions to new people to help him gain confidence. Once he knows you, he is super affectionate and friendly. He is suited to an adult only home at this time. Ryker is very high energy - so an active home who can keep him busy is a must. Unfortunately he was not getting the exercise he needed in his last home which ended up with him showing destructive behaviors. Plenty of long daily walks, runs, hikes or dog sports would be right up his alley! Ryker is potty trained and knows some basic commands, and would benefit from crate training to keep him out of mischief when left. He can jump a low fence so a high secure fence is important for this agile guy.
