CARIBOO FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY Pregnancy Outreach Program CoordinatorFull Time Job Opportunity General: The Pregnancy Outreach Program Coordinator will be responsible for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of maternal and child health programs offering health counselling and peer support to high risk pregnant women to promote positive health practices that contribute to the health of newborns and mothers. The POP Coordinator must have a comprehensive knowledge base in health care, reflecting an understanding of the needs of the public, as well as the necessary managerial techniques and skills to apply that knowledge. The POP Coordinator may provide assistance in the counseling of individuals, families, groups, or engaging in prevention programs. The Coordinator will be required to provide coordination in the area of case managements, case planning, and implementation of programs and direct intervention or referral to appropriate service providers and programs. Qualifications: Requires a health professional, Bachelor of Science, Social Work Degree &ndashor related degree with proven experience in field with skills as a social worker, counsellor and or administrator.
