FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER/ INTAKE MANAGERPermanent Full-Time (35 Hours/ Week) DESCRIPTION: The Family Support Worker/Intake Manager's role is to support families and their children that need extra support in their development, empower parents to advocate for their children and themselves, gather the child's/family's information for staff assignment, manage the client information system and act as the centre's Privacy Officer. The successful candidate should be ready to mentor and manage a team of professional staff members, find ways to continually increase quality of services and implement best practices across all levels. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in related field (or relevant education and experience) combined with five years supervisory experience. High level of professional effectiveness, collaboration, integrity, optimism, and high energy. The ability to multitask. Excellent verbal, written, facilitation and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, problem solving and supervisory skills. Relationship development and management skills. Effectively manage waitlists and caseloads. Identify red flags in a child's development, full knowledge and understanding of child development. Assist staff to establish and attain service goals. Knowledge of the impact of a child's disability. Empathetic ability when dealing with families. Human Resource experience: Capable of managing a large team of professional staff. Financial experience. Experience with the accreditation process i.e., CARF, is an asset. Valid driver's license and regular access to a vehicle; willingness to travel to sites for program activities. Criminal Records Check with satisfactory results.
