Position: FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER Job Type: Full Time Job Description: Works close with NCMA Board of Directors. Offer and arrange services, support and training directed at children, youth and their families who may be at risk of personal and family disruption due to health, justice, and mental health. Provide support services, workshops and referrals of individual children, youth and families. Work in close cooperation with the Ministry for Children &amp Families staff regarding any child who may be in need. Make recommendations about safe places for children to stay. Work with Indigenous and Non-Indigenous organizations. Hours may vary. Work closely with the Metis Cultural Coordinator and MCFD Social Worker. The services will be flexible and responsive to ensure children and families receive services that are specific to their individual presenting needs. This will include interventions and activities from a spectrum of family-strengthening services. Other: Preference will be given to Metis (Aboriginal) Individuals. Must have own reliable vehicle and valid BC driver's license. Computer skills and good command of the English Language. Will need to provide a criminal record check. Be flexible in the hours &ndash some weekends. Preference will be given to applicants with a Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Social Work or related experience in the Social Work field. This is a Full-Time Position. Wage/Hours will be determined based on Experience.
